Harvous is a notes app designed for Bible study
Maybe you're tired of scattered notes that disappear. Maybe you've had those moments where scripture clicks, but by next week, it's gone.
Harvous is my attempt to solve this. Not perfectly. Not revolutionarily. Just... thoughtfully.
If that resonates, I'd love to have you try it.

Potentially Asked Questions
Harvous is a space to save, organize, and find your Bible study notes. Think of it as a home for all those notes from reading the Bible, listening to sermons, and attending study groups—organized into threads that actually make sense then, now, and later.
Harvous is a notes app designed to complement your Bible reading experience. Use it alongside your favorite Bible reader app or physical Bible. When you type a scripture reference, that scripture text (NET Bible) is automatically generated as a note for you.
Harvous works on any device with a modern web browser. For a better mobile experience on your tablet or phone you can “Add to Home Screen” and it becomes more like an app.
A thread is a collection of related notes. Instead of organizing by date or book, threads let you group thoughts by topic or theme. One note can live in multiple threads, because your thoughts connect in different ways.
Nope. Harvous works for anyone exploring the Bible - whether you're curious, new to faith, or been studying for years. Your questions and thoughts are welcome, wherever you are.
Right now, Harvous is for personal study. Group features are coming later - things like shared threads and discussion spaces. Until then, your personal notes work great for preparing to lead or participate in groups.
Just you (for now). When we add sharing features later, you'll control exactly what gets shared and with whom. Your private notes stay private.
Absolutely! Just go to Profile (your initials) > My Data and you can export everything as a CSV file.
Yes. The basics of creating, editing, and erasing notes and threads does work offline. When re-connected to the internet is all syncs back up. You can even see the sync status in Profile (your initials) > My Data.
Harvous is free with 1,000 notes. When you're ready for unlimited notes, it's $36 per year or $6 per month.
When you reach 1,000 notes, upgrade to unlimited for $36/year or $6/month. All your notes remain accessible and searchable. The paid plan unlocks creating additional notes
Hey, I’m Derek! I'm a Christian, husband, and dad to 2 dogs and 2 cats. By day I make websites full-time. In my freetime I work on Harvous (which I made primarly for me).
My journey with God started in 2016. It took a friend of mine asking me if I go to church and then a pastor and the church to open my eyes, ears, and heart. After 3 visits I got saved and since then my life has been one wild ride. 5 years later I'd get a calling from God centered around Proverbs 25:2 to build a tool with my creativity that only I knew how to make.
